A video of a Kenyan groom wiping tears as his bride walked down the aisle has warmed hearts.

Why did groom cry on wedding day?

The video, shared by famous videographer Boenphotographykenya, showed the groom, Dennis Karanja Kubai, donning a white shirt, black trousers and a white blazer with a touch of black.

Karanja stood before the guests while holding his son as he watched his wife make her way to where he was.

Janet, wearing a stylish white gown with a long veil and a bouquet, was all smiles as she walked down the aisle.

Karanja was overwhelmed by emotions and shed tears of joy. At some point, he was seen wiping tears with a white handkerchief.

"It happened because of the kind of journey we have been through. Ups and downs, so many things have happened. That moment when nobody thinks you can, you can really get there, and here it is happening. We remember what God has done for us. For that moment it was really emotional. Seeing me walking down the aisle was a confirmation of what God can do. Seeing our son calling him saying, "Daddy, mum is coming'"was emotional," she told TUKO.co.ke.

How did Janet Kimuyu and Dennis Karanja meet?

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke hours after their beautiful wedding, which took place on Saturday, August 17, at Kenmosa village in Eldoret, Janet, from Kitui, divulged more about their relationship.

Sharing their love story, Janet revealed they met at a college in Mombasa in 2009.

"We were coursemates. We were doing a civil and building engineering course. We became friends and started dating in 2010," she recalled.

The couple stuck together, and in 2021, Karanja proposed to his partner. Early this year, she lost her diamond engagement ring.

"The diamond stone fell off while at work. We checked everywhere in the office, and I couldn't find it. I told my husband, and he said 'instead of replacing it, let us get married.' We started announcing the wedding bans in March," Janet recalled.

Janet Kimuyu shares qualities of happy marriage

The mother of one advised those in relationships not to rush to settle down but to take their time.

"Be sure of what you want. If he or she is the person you want to be with for the rest of your life. If you ever doubt, never do it because at the end of the day it is someone you will live with," she said.

Apart from communication, she shared other key things for a marriage to last.

"Prayer is vital. Learn to be prayerful. Learn your partner, what they like and dislike," she said.

Groom sheds tears at wedding

Elsewhere, an emotional video of a young man shedding tears as his bride walked down the aisle went viral on social media.

The bride walked down the aisle in her father's company while the groom waited at the altar for the love of his life.

Some ladies in the comment section noted they would want their lovers to cry the same way on their wedding day.
