How did Amina lose her arm?

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the 24-year-old shared that their bus did not collide with any other vehicle but just rolled because of its mechanical problems.

"After the initial shock, I realise that my arm was hanging, I tried asking a friend to hold it for me with a clothe but she was too scared," shared Amina.

"I took the clothe and held it together myself. When I saw my arm looking like that, I learnt how to accept it, and from there on it has never hurt me; I only felt pain from time to time," said Amina.

Fourteen years later, Amina has not let that horrible night stand in her way, she completed her teacher training course at Garissa Teachers Training College.

How did Amina get the funds to build house?

"I got a job in Nairobi but I was really mistreated and decided to come back in Voi and hustle. Mboka ni mboka. I don't choose jobs. Sometimes I sell tomatoes among other hustles," she said.

Amina has been hustling and keeping some money aside, and after some time, she built a house.

"I was once called to a live session on TikTok by MC Chris and he helped me raise some money. I added the money to my savings and built a one-roomed house," she said.
"I am yet to finish a house but I had kept some money aside for it. My headache is the toilet; I was at the hardware and was told that the materials for the septic tank is about KSh 80,000. I need about KSh 150,000 for the whole toilet," she added.
