A woman who only identified herself as Ashieane remains in shock after being fired from a mental health institution for liking a LinkedIn post about toxic workplaces.

What was Ashiean's experience at mental facility?

The woman described her toxic work environment, saying it often led her to cry in the bathroom when she couldn’t cope.

According to Times News Now, Ashiean said she had to endure an overbearing boss, a toxic CEO, and unusual company policies.

"The manager honestly made my life a living hell at work. She was an extremely hostile person and always used to play dumb when the CEO was talking. The CEO was so toxic too; literally a wolf in sheep skin. It was that bad," she said.

Ashiean's world completely fell apart after she was fired for liking a post about toxic workplaces, a topic she said she was very passionate about.

During the termination call, her boss stated she was being dismissed for allegedly spreading false information about the mental health facility by liking the post.

"I have been so scared that I think all I can do in the next place I work at is shut up, work, & tolerate the madness... Sad,” she concluded.

Kenyan woman says she's not happy with job

In a separate case, a Kenyan woman named Beth complained that she had worked at a well-known college in Kenya for 13 years but remained stuck in the same junior position.

To begin with, it was not a permanent and pensionable job, but rather a contract that was being renewed every six months.

In an emotional confession to TUKO.co.ke, the single mother decried the toxic work environment, adding that every day at work was horrible.

Given the meagre earnings, Beth was unable to educate her children and had to watch painfully as they either dropped out or lost college opportunities.

However, Beth said she couldn't bring herself to quit because she is a single mother who really needs a job.
