While he was a child he appeared in the 1953 movie A Lion Is in the Streets. He produced Renaissance and Dickens Christmas fairs. In 2018 his husband was admitted to the hospital and Day went missing with his case being featured on Dateline NBC. In June 2019 it was confirmed that remains found belonged to Day and the next month a man was charged with several crimes including manslaughter.
