Seventh-Day Adventist preacher Elizabeth Mokoro has advised women to change tact when confronting their husbands for coming home late.

What did Elizabeth Mokoro teach wives?

In a widely shared message on TikTok, Mokoro advised that it was uncouth and unbecoming for women to scold their husbands for coming home late.

According to Mokoro, questions about where the husband comes from should not be directed at the spouse but the children or the wife's brothers.

The preacher, gaining a sizeable following for her tips on marriage and relationships, wondered where wives get the gust to tell off their men for not going home early.

"Don’t ask a man where are you coming from. That one, you ask your brother or child - not your husband. Where do you get the guts to stand and say, "hii ni saa ngapi unakuja? Hutanifanya kama watchaman wa kukufungulia kila wakati unakuja," said Mokoro.

Hundreds of her followers supported the pastor's message, warning women against pointing out their husbands' faults and failures.

What did Mokoro say about co-parenting?

In March 2023, Mokoro caused a stir after discouraging Kenyans from opting for a co-parenting arrangement. According to Mokoro, the concept of co-parenting was not Biblical.

“Having a baby mama or baby daddy is a world concept. I don’t see why a man should proudly parade himself for being a baby daddy."

She warned that the baby daddy and mama trend should not be normalised.

“I have read my Bible from Genesis to Revelation. The only single people are those waiting for marriage or whose husbands died. We must come to a point and say enough is enough. We should seek to help us raise Godly children,” said Mokoro.

Mokoro was voted Preacher of the Year in 2022.
