The 2023 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education results were released on January 8, and among the people who were proud of their achievements was Elijah Kaseuseu, a Member of the West Pokot County Assembly.

Kaseuseu, who sat for his exam at the Turbo Sub-county Private Centre, managed a D+ (plus).

On January 7, the young leader had taken to his Facebook platform to confess that he was very anxious about the results.

"Pressure and tension are very high today," he said.

Once he got the results, he declared that he was proud of them and vowed to take steps to get a degree.

"I am very proud of myself, This journey I will walk slowly until I own a degree. No matter what! Congratulations to me," said the MCA.

He attributed his success to God and hard work.

In a subsequent Facebook post, the indefatigable leader humorously said that people who got Ds (Daudi Msalabani) ndio tuko.

How 2023 KCSE candidates performed

In another story, a total of 201,133 candidates achieved the minimum university entry grade in the 2023 KCSE examinations.

Of the top performers, 1,216 candidates scored straight As, with 7,254 attaining the A- (minus) grade.

Machogu observed that of those who scored As, 889 were from national schools, while 172 were from extra-county schools.
