Kalonzo Musyoka and Jeremiah Kioni dream team

With Wiper party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and Kioni at the helm, the team is poised to bring a wealth of experience, expertise, and a nuanced understanding of the intricate issues at hand to the negotiation table.

"We have established a technical and legal team to support our delegation during the dialogue. Accordingly, Hon. Jeremiah Kioni, the Secretary General of the Jubilee Party, will lead the Legal and Technical team in these talks," they said.

The core philosophy driving Azimio's approach is the recognition that engaging in sincere dialogue is not a sign of surrender or weakness but rather a display of strength and practicality.

Approach dialogue with an open mind

The opposition said by embracing open-mindedness and courage, Azimio aims to find common ground and move beyond discord to pave the way for a more harmonious future.

They explained that their commitment to negotiating in good faith remains steadfast, with a focus on addressing the nation's challenges comprehensively and transparently.

The party advocates for respectful and efficient talks that prioritize the integrity of the process and the well-being of the Kenyan people.

Kimani Ichung'wah: Reschedule date for first meeting

On Friday, August 4, Majority leader Kimani Ichung'wah said the ruling alliance were not okay with the suggested date.

The lawmaker said they had planned to have their first meeting as the Kenya Kwanza delegation for a debrief to prepare for the talks.

He asked if the Wiper party leader-led Azimio team were willing to reschedule the meeting for Thursday, August 10.
