Chinese Mother Welcomes 9 Children In Just 13 Years, Envisions A Larger Family

• Since Tian Dongxia and her husband Zhao Wanlong got married, they have given birth to a new child every subsequent year
• They only slowed down in 2020 when the pandemic hit before resuming after things went back to normal
• The lovebirds who are in their 30s currently have nine children, are expecting their 10th, and not planning on stopping anytime soon

A Chinese woman named Tian Dongxia and her husband Zhao Wanlong, have attracted public attention after welcoming nine children in the last 13 years.

According to Mothership, the woman who is in her 30s gave birth to her first child, a daughter, in 2010, which was the Year of the Tiger.

Started dating in high school

Asked why she was giving birth nonstop, she revealed that she did not want to "waste her husband's genes."

She further explained that her idea is to continue having more children until she gets to 12 so that each child symbolises the Chinese Zodiac signs.

"I fell for Tian at first sight when they were still in high school and started pursuing her until she agreed to date me," Zhao disclosed."

In 2012, two years after Tian gave birth to their firstborn, the couple was blessed with a pair of twin sons, this time in the Year of the Dragon.

Slowed down by pandemic

After having their first three children, Tian and Zhao figured it was time to close the chapter, but Tian says she felt a desire to add more children to make the house lively.

That explains how, in 2016, the Year of the Goat, the couple once again welcomed another child, their second daughter and fourth overall.

In the next four years, the couple went ahead to add another four children to bring their total to eight until the pandemic struck and slowed them down.

When things improved, the two lovebirds added yet another child in 2022 to bring the tally to the current nine children.

Expecting 10th child

As of the time of filing this story, Tian was heavily pregnant with the couple's 10th child and still hopes to add more.

According to her, the plan is to continue giving birth until the household has a child representing every Chinese Zodiac sign.

Given that they have kids born in the year of the Tiger, Dragon, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig, and Rat, she must give birth at least five more times in the year of the Ox, Rabbit, Snake, Horse, and Sheep.

Mangi family: 9 members, same birthday

In Pakistan, the Mangi family has received global recognition for having nine members sharing the same birthday.

Ameer Ali, his wife Khudeja, and their seven children, ranging in age from 19 to 30, share a remarkable coincidence—they were all born on August 1.

This extraordinary synchronicity has earned them a well-deserved place in the Guinness World Records as the family with the highest number of members sharing a birthday.
