Embu Woman Who Gave Birth To Twins Delighted To Deliver Quadruplets: "They Are Healthy"

• On her due date, the Embu woman who had given twins eight years ago was stunned after delivering quadruplets
• The woman was, however, delighted and said she was over the moon as the little ones were born healthy

Embu - A woman cannot hide her joy as she joyfully talks about her abundant blessings, which she termed a miracle.

Ann Mugai was over the moon after she happily and successfully welcomed adorable quadruplets in November 2021.

The young lady was stunned as she thought she would initially give birth to three babies.

Giving birth on 37th week

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the 31-year-old lady said she was advised to go for a scan as the doctor was also unsure about her health.

"I went for a scan when I was around four months pregnant and another when I was eight months pregnant. The scan showed that I was pregnant with three kids in both instances. However, in the eighth month, I was admitted because I was unstable.

On the 37th week, I gave birth to four babies, which amazed me. Luckily, they had no complications like my previous delivery," she said.

Losing child to pneumonia after two days

Mugai said she had given birth to twins eight years ago, but unfortunately, one of the pair died.

She said the little one developed complications and died after two days because of pneumonia.

"It was heartbreaking, but thank God one survived, and now we have an eight-year-old child. We decided to wait for our child to grow so that we could also heal and take time to tink about the future. There was no rush," she said.

Challenges of raising quadruplets

Despite a few challenges, the Embu woman expressed joy in seeing the four babies grow well, three girls and a boy.

"There are challenges like diapers and shopping for the house since my husband is the only breadwinner. I am currently not working because we cannot afford to pay a househelp to babysit our kids for now," she said.

Woman expecting one child delivers triplets

In a similar story, a woman who expected to deliver one child after an ultrasound gave birth to triplets.

Delphine planned to have one baby but was shocked after successfully welcoming three.

The birth of triplets equally surprised her loving husband, Paul, following the miraculous birth of three beautiful bundles of joy.

They noted it was God's doing that they received abundant blessings as they embarked on their parental journey.
