Eric Omondi Downcast As He Carries Baby Pyden Mudoga's Casket For Burial

A one-month-old baby whose plight touched the hearts of Kenyans is set to be buried.

What happened at Pyden Mudoga's burial?

Pyden Mudoga was diagnosed with a cancerous tumour on his jaw, and comedian Eric Omondi highlighted his plight.

However, he sadly passed away before he would get specialised treatment.

On Friday, August 18, the entertainer posted a video showing Pyden's final rights.

The clip depicted Eric, wearing all black and the toddler's family in what appeared to be the morgue.

The small casket was laid before them, and a preacher prayed for the child’s soul.

After the prayers, Eric and several others carried the casket out of the room to the awaiting hearse.

“They say the smallest coffins are the heaviest. Safiri salama Pyden Mudoga. A lot needs to change in our health systems.

We got to Pyden a little late, but we will be launching something that will change people's lives next week,” he wrote.

What happened before Pyden Mudoga's death?

Shortly before the baby died, Eric moved him from the Kenyatta National Hospital to another facility for specialised treatment.

He thanked all those who contributed to the cause, noting that Payden still needed assistance.
