Looking back, the journalist disclosed he regrets having used KSh 1.5 million at the wedding.

"1.5 million shillings," he said with a sigh.

He said it was not his decision to have so many guests at the wedding, but he obliged after being given the budget.

Namu noted that his wife, Makena Ngondi sold her car to chip into the wedding budget.

He said:

"It was good chums. For one, I would say was pressure. I took a loan, and it paid for part of it, and the other part was for Makena to sell her car. We also maxed our savings. It was a fantastic wedding for those who attended. Pressure, there was lots of pressure from my family since I got married before my older brother. Initially, we wanted a small wedding.
Our (with his wife) absolute capacity was 250 people, and the list just kept growing and growing. We were told to sit in a corner and wait for the budget. If there is one big regret I have, it is caving into that pressure. That money would have done so much."
