Kajiado - There is hope for young Abigail from Kajiado, who used to miss school because of a painful kidney infection after well-wishers raised some money so that she could start treatment.

Abigail is to go for major surgery

Abigail has been struggling with a life-threatening kidney condition that hindered her education and daily activities.

They have now raised part of the money.

"On Abigail, it's going to be a major operation to remove her right kidney and the growth that infects it," he said.
"As per the surgeon yesterday, it is the only option for her since the infection and the growth was left unattended for a long time; this lack of medical attention led to accumulation and blockage of urine and other body waste, causing spread to her urinary system."

Mugo talked to the doctor who supported them with CT-KUB test and joining National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF).

So far, well-wishers have raised KSh 150,000; the girl needs a similar amount to complete treatment.

Narok boy walks on his knees to school

In another story, a determined boy was shown going to school, using his knees to walk. Isaac Kariuki always needs a caregiver to take him to school and bring him home.

Mwalimu Daniel Mutai advocated for early medical intervention and financial assistance to begin Kariuki's treatment.

TUKO.co.ke learnt that Kariuki was denied a supportive device due to age, making financial aid crucial for the costly treatment and giving hope for a better future.
