Online taxi drivers in Kenya have shared some of the challenges they face at work.

Do passengers make moves on taxi drivers?

Jackson Orwa and Maureen Njoroge appeared on the Dr King’ori show on NTV, and he asked them about the claim that some clients make unwanted advances on drivers.

Orwa confirmed the rumours while sharing his experience.

“It is true. I picked three girls from Kilimani at night destined for Thika Road. They were gorgeous.”

However, according to the driver, things spiralled out of control midway through the trip.

“When we reached Muthaiga, the two women in the back seat started removing clothes. The one in the front seat started touching me.”

Orwa stopped the vehicle, and the three women asked him to have turns with them.

“They begged me to give it to them for just a minute. However, I refused and threatened not to move the vehicle and become a target for carjackers.”

Orwa then instructed the two women to dress up before continuing the trip.

“They gave in but insulted me, saying I was not man enough to satisfy three women."

The cab driver noted that he turned down their advances as the passengers were not in their conscious minds, but most importantly, he had a wife.

King’ori wondered whether he later regretted rejecting their offer, but Orwa asserted that principles guide him.

Maureen, a female cab driver, said she had a similar experience.

"I only work during the day and had a tipsy male passenger. My precaution is for male clients to sit in the back, but he told me he had a problem with his feet. I allowed him to sit next to me because of the legroom in the front seats.”

However, when the man started, Maureen promptly ended the trip.

Why did Kenyan rider go viral?

In other news, a Kenyan biker steadily gained popularity for posting videos of speeding and leaning into corners along highways.

His most daring stunt yet depicted him gunning his bike and attaining speeds of 300km/h on a busy road.

Many noted that he was risking his life.
