Vihiga man dies in Nairobi after years of going missing

In other related news, a family in Gamande village, Kapchemugung’ sub-location in Hamisi, Vihiga county was in tears after learning that their kin who disappeared in 2006 had died in Nairobi.

Abisolom Ahuma, 54 and father of two daughters, left his home without his family’s knowledge and never communicated to them on his whereabouts until his demise

According to his mother, Diana Mmbone Ifedha, Ahuma bought a land near Sirwa Posta on Vihiga-Nandi border before he left.

“He bought a parcel of land, put up a house and settled his family in it before he left without a word,” Ifedha told TUKO.co.ke amid sobs.

Ahuma’s disappearance left his mother agape, wondering whether if he was dead or alive.

“His wife died in 2007 but my son never showed up. I took care of his two daughters in his absence with no letter or phone call from him. His father Hethron Ifedha died in 2010 and we hoped to see him but to our surprise, he never showed up. The same happened when his in-law died,” IIfedha added.
