Kisumu: Lady Accuses Acacia Premier Hotel Of Harassment After Filming Premises

The Acacia Premier Hotel in Kisumu head of security is on the spot following accusations levelled by a client.

What was Acacia Premier Hotel incident about?

Adongo Nyar Kisumu accused him of harassing and threatening her on Wednesday, August 30.

According to the vehicle importer, she was filming a vlog at the establishment when the security team approached her.

“I did not know filming was prohibited as I saw an Indian content creator shooting a video inside, and there was no visible notice indicating the same.

I had also been there on numerous occasions a few years ago but had not had any issues,” she told TUKO.co.ke

Adongo said she apologised, but the head of security arrived and escalated the matter.

“He wanted to take my phone and refused, and that is when I said I would like to call my lawyer. He became angry and took me to the security room.”

Footage captured by Adongo depicted the visibly infuriated man hurling unprintable words at her as she told him he was harassing her.

“Don't think we are stupid. Harassing who. Is this your home?” he retorted.

Adongo claimed that she screamed for help after they tried forcefully taking her phone.

“I later spoke to the manager, who apologised and informed me about their no-filming policy.”

She eventually agreed to delete the photos and video before leaving the establishment.

“My issue is not with the hotel but the head of security. He should apologise for mistreating me.”
