A video of Muigai wa Njoroge's firstborn daughter, Shiku, with his first wife, Njeri, performing at her father's wedding has emerged.

In the video, which was shared on TikTok by Kikuyu Nation TV account, the beautiful daughter wore a long satin purple dress, with a neckpiece made of shells and matching bangles and huge traditional bangles won around the head by Kikuyu women during weddings. Her dress colour matched her stepmother Queen Stacey's apparel.

The gospel singer married Stacey on Saturday, August 26, in a colourful traditional wedding at Ndeiya in Kiambu county, and his eight children, both from the first and second families, attended and heaped praises on him when they were given a chance to speak.

While enjoying a dancing session with their guests, Muigai took a mic and started performing his hit song Wikore, which he featured his first wife, Njeri, a few years ago.

Shiku then took the mic from her father and continued singing as guests, among them, singers Ben Githae, Karangu Muraya, and Samidoh sang the song. Njeri was dancing beside her man, and they jumped in joy as they enjoyed the song.

The video ignited mixed reactions, with some netizens praising Shiku for supporting her father while others were unhappy she attended the wedding, terming it a betrayal to her mother.

Njeri on why she missed co-wife's wedding

Muigai's first wife went live on Facebook to explain why she missed her co-wife's wedding.

The beautiful mother rubbished claims she is jealous of Stacey and said she did not fail to attend her ceremony because she bears anger against her.

Njeri told her fans that Stacey was married to her husband 12 years ago, and so anything that would make her angry is long gone.

She said she can live in peace and happiness by avoiding situations of people who make her feel bad.
