Nairobi Father Dies In Grisly Boda Boda Accident While Taking His Kids To School

A Nairobi father died in a grisly road accident along Mombasa Road while taking his children to school.

The man was taking his two kids to school on a boda boda when it rammed into a bus, leading to his instantaneous death.

A report by Citizen TV indicated the accident occurred as they crossed the road, and the two children sustained serious injuries.

The man's remains were moved to the Kambu Hospital mortuary while his children were rushed to Makindu Sub-county Hospital.

Pupils die in Webuye accident

In a separate incident, more than five pupils were among the casualties in a road carnage at a spot along the Webuye-Eldoret road.

The deadly crash occurred on the evening of Saturday, June 24, near the Chemoi black spot.

The learners from Busia's Ebenezer Academy were aboard their school bus when it rolled over after being rammed on the side by a heavy truck.

To die on the spot alongside the pupils was the bus's driver as their colleagues and teachers sustained serious injuries.

"My sympathies and prayers to the Ebenezer Academy fraternity following a road accident involving their school bus at Kaburengu along Eldoret-Malaba Highway. The pupils and teachers who were from an academic trip in Eldoret got involved in the fatal accident," Governor Paul Otuoma said after the accident.

Narok county accident

In other news, a cloud of pain and shock hovered over Olulunga area in Narok county after two matatus collided on the afternoon of Tuesday, August 8.

Information shared on social media indicated that the matatus collided head-on at Olulunga along the Narok- Kaplong highway.

At least eight people sustained serious injuries after the chilling collision. Road safety agency Sikika said one of the matatus had school children on board as primary and secondary institutions around the country close for the second term.
