Machakos - A petrol attendant has died in puzzling circumstances after he was thrown out of a moving car by hostile customers who refused to pay for fuel.

The attendant is said to have been abducted by the rogue customers, who turned to be aggressive as they forcefully made the attendant get into their car after refilling at the petrol station.

A report by Citizen TV indicated that the unknown individuals abducted the attendant after outright refusal to pay for the fuel, and they sped off with him.

They would then throw him out of the moving vehicle, a Toyota Probox, leaving him with fatal injuries.

Driver knocks down petrol station attendant

Elsewhere, police officers pursued a driver who sped off without paying for the fuel he refilled at a gas station along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.

In the incident, which was captured on CCTV, the driver of the Toyota Vitz, registration number KCY 856U, drove into Ola Energy Gitaru and refilled fuel worth KSh 3,300.

However, as the filling station's attendant wanted to confirm if the driver had paid, the daring motorist sped off.

In the process, as seen in the footage, the rogue driver knocked down the female attendant.

Unbothered by the accident, the driver drove off and disappeared. Efforts by people to corner him proved futile.

Motorist speeds-off without paying fuel

Similarly, police officers launched a manhunt for a motorist suspected to have sped off after refilling at a Total Energies outlet in Nairobi.

According to a complaint aired by Sikika Road Safety, the motorist had parked to refill at the Total Energies station at Rabai Road along Jogoo Road before he left after being served.

He is said to have defaulted on upward of KSh 10,000 worth of fuel fed to his vehicle at the station; luckily, the registration details of the vehicle were well-captured.
