Nairobi- A teacher has shared a light moment with his class on the school's closing day as they bid each other goodbye.

Pius Mungai Karenge challenged one of his pupils to a dance challenge as they attended school for the last time this term.

The Dandora Primary School teacher stood before the class, holding his smartphone in his left hand.

"Nani mnoma? Nani anaweza? (Who is the best?)," he asked his elated pupils, who calmly sat on their chairs, waiting to be entertained.

The kids had mixed reactions, as while some cheered for teacher Karenge, others cheered for their classmates.

To settle the debate, Karenge played music on his phone as he and his pupil vigorously shook their waste.

The kids could be heard from the background cheering as the teacher and the pupil entertained them in the viral TikTok video.

In another part, Karenge invited another pupil to join them on the dance floor as they sought who danced better.

The reaction was more vibrant than before as they looked forward to an entertaining moment before going home.

Dandora teacher praises CBC system

Earlier, the teacher who went viral for using music to teach hailed the Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) education system.

Karenge joyfully spoke of the CBC system, highlighting its benefits that outweighed the old 8-4-4 curriculum.

The teacher noted CBC was full of activities that compelled pupils to engage and partake in the fun.

Karenge, who went viral on TikTok, noted that with the 8-4-4 system, the education curriculum was performance-based oriented, which affected some pupils' self-esteem.
