A Nigerian man identified as Azaino O. Esuoghen aka uncle_koke has stirred the internet by praising Kenya's economic development compared to her neighbours Rwanda and Uganda.

Rwanda looks programmed

"Kenya was the most developed, prosperous and fun country with beautiful people. Rwanda is clean, but it looks like a programmed society; people don't do much; people look scared of something they don't really know," said uncle_koke.
"Uganda was like hell on earth, very dusty and too many bikes; I didn't see any luxurious car. People look very poor with street kids begging," said the Nigerian who vowed to never set foot in the country again.

Here is what netizens had to say:

Just_Mowsey:

"Okay, not sure where he comes from, but let's assume he does come from Nigeria according to you they have one good city (Lagos). What do we have? His facts are accurate."

Kelvin Omukungu:

"But Patrick there's no lie in what that person said."

Tracee:

"Can you point out a single lie in his observation though, even the places we used to call affluent like Muyenga, munyonyo & kololo are full of potholes. Lest you forget our managers for metropolitan affairs are Minsa Kabanda & Kisaka, people who cant even manage a town council!"

Easton Nyabasa:

"It made me laugh. If he was from any other country I would have accepted but not Nigeria. We know Nigeria has rich people but poverty is also biting them hard. Insecurity is hitting them hard. On average 10 people are kidnapped for ransom on daily basis in Nigeria and he has guts to call other countries hell."

Ibraham Kyabbagu:

"Also you people who work only at night and be sleeping during the day don’t know the real Kampala. Traffic lights are not followed, pedestrians can’t cross the roads. He even didn’t mention the noise from people hawking religion at least every 50 meter radius. Our leaders can’t even control noise pollution."

Edmond:

"But there's some truth in there..."

Ruto happy Kenya's economy has stabilised

On February 25, President William Ruto said he was focused on lowering the cost of living after stabilising the economy.

Ruto accused his predecessor of reckless borrowing and unnecessary subsidies that benefited a few individuals.

He said his government was looking for a long-term and sustainable solution to Kenya's high cost of living.
