"I received a phone call from Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officer who said there were snakes in our area. I did not know it was a set-up. I asked him what the snake looked like and he sent me a picture. He asked me to show the picture to a woman that had allegedly seen the snake and confirm whether it was the one she had seen.
I went to the woman and showed her the picture. They wanted to insinuate I was looking for one of my snakes, which they claimed I kept as pets. They said I had refused to feed the snakes, hence I left them to roam," she narrated.

The Nyeri woman defended herself, claiming all that was false accusations as the conmen wanted her to lose a good name and the fruit of her sweat.

Nyaga said she was labelled a devil worshipper because she allegedly kept snakes but there was no evidence.
