As the country awaited the long-awaited IEBC results at Bomas of Kenya, the choir became the source of comfort.

Today, NTV journalist James Smart has reminisced about the choir's impactful role in that crucial moment.

"A time like this, Bomas choir started what would be a six-hour singing marathon calming the nerves of a nation waiting for the presidential results."

Chebukati hails Bomas choir

Previously, the former IEBC chairman lauded the Bomas choir.

They were an amalgamation of singers and artists from Kenya and Tanzania.

Chebukati hailed the groups for their resolve to entertain Kenyans and bring a sense of peace in the midst of the tension the country experienced as it awaited the announcement of the presidential results.

"I thank the various choirs and artists that presented spiritually uplifting and patriotic songs that underscored the need to maintain peace and unity even in the electioneering period," he said.
