In an unexpected and heartwarming twist on traditional marital dynamics, Erick Branham, a respected pastor at The Christ Nation Global, delivered a sermon that highlighted his unconventional approach to his marriage.

Pastor declares wife is number one

With candour and a touch of humour, he said that his wife holds the highest place in his life, a stance that has drawn attention and sparked conversations within the congregation and beyond.

During the sermon, which was also shared on his Facebook page, Branham boldly proclaimed,

"In my marriage, there is no one above my wife. My wife is my number one."

The congregation, taken aback by this assertion, leaned in to hear more from the pastor's perspective on this unique marital hierarchy.

As Branham shared his views, he did not shy away from acknowledging the significance of his statement, even with his mother present in the church.

"I thank God because I am saying that with my mother in church. So that if my mother was not here, it would be like, 'Well, you can run your mouth here.'"

Pastor's mother, wife not in competition

This touch of humour lightened the atmosphere, allowing his message to resonate even more profoundly.

However, the pastor clarified that his mother and wife were not locked in a competition for his affection.

"My wife and my mother are not in competition. My wife is number one, period!" he affirmed.

This sentiment aimed to convey that his respect and love for both women in his life were not in conflict but rather coexisted harmoniously.

He expressed that this unique perspective was well-known among his family members.

"My sisters know, my brothers know, if you want us to be fine, be fine with my wife. If you want us to be messed up, mess up with my wife. So my wife is number one."

Pastor's mum is irreplaceable

Intriguingly, Branham delved further into his familial hierarchy. Responding to potential questions about his mother's position, he stated,

"My mother does not have a number. My mother is my mother. My mother has no replacement. When she appears, my wife says, 'mum.'"

This poignant remark underlined the irreplaceable role his mother played in his life, separate from any numerical ranking.

Branham's sermon has ignited conversations about the dynamics of marriage and family relationships.

His perspective challenges traditional norms and underscores the importance of recognising the individuality of each relationship within a family unit.

Pastor says preachers can be polygamous

Elsewhere, a Bamburi-based preacher has dropped a bombshell after remarking that men, including preachers, should marry more than three wives.

Pastor Darius, as he identifies himself, argued that there is nowhere in the Bible that states men should not marry two wives.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, the cleric said, 'as a matter of fact', men like the biblical Solomon, who married many wives succeed most.

"I see no problem for men who marry more than three wives. Nowhere in the Bible is stated that men should not marry two wives. In fact, men like Solomon, who married many wives succeed most," said Darius.
