During the question time, the CS revealed they had partnered with Governor Paul Otuoma's administration in Busia to grow cotton on an 11,000-acre piece of land.

The CS added that in at least two months, they would have seedlings from other partners to support farmers in the region.

Salasya, a member of the National Assembly Committee on Agriculture and Livestock, asked to be invited to the launching of the project on Friday, August 4.

"I want to thank the CS Agriculture for responding and coming up with the necessary action. I think being a member of Agriculture committee I'm so proud of what he's undertaking. Bwana CS you should invite me to that meeting in Busia so that I can tell them I brought the message to you and you have acted on it," he said.

Linturi accepted the witty politician's request, adding that he would, as Agriculture Principal Secretary (PS) Jonathan Mueke, carry him in his chopper to Busia.

The MP, visibly excited, thanked the CS for accepting his request to the event, adding that he wanted the people to know he had delivered their plea.

Salasya explained his excitement, divulging that he's never gone to Busia in a chopper, making it a memorable experience for the youthful MP.

"Speaker I've never gone on a chopper so please I'm begging to be on that trip," he said, drawing laughter from the MPs present.

In the post, Salasya disclosed that he was flying business class, adding that the five-hour journey was amazing.

Interestingly, during the journey, as seen in the clip, the first-time legislator was captured enjoying a canned Tusker beer accompanied by other snacks, seemingly queen cakes.
