Rigathi Gachagua Visits Home Of Personal Driver Who's Served Him For 15 Years: "Covered My Back"

Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua has celebrated his personal driver, who has loyally served him for 15 years.

Inside stylish home owned by Gachagua's driver

On Saturday, August 12, the DP shared photos of visiting Sammy Cheborgey’s family in Nandi county and praised his steadfast support.

“He has been my loyal and committed driver for the last 15 years. He has been a blessing to me and my family.”

The politician disclosed that Sammy stuck with him during his lowest moments and always had his back.

Gachagua disclosed that he was in the county for a two-day work tour and decided to visit Sammy’s family.

“I visited Sammy's home on the outskirts of Kapsabet Town to meet and share a meal with his family, friends and village mates.

He has lived in my homes for those many years. Hence, my visit also to know his home. Loyalty and commitment must count for something.”

Gachagua shared numerous images of interacting with his driver’s family at his impressive home.

He was first welcomed by a young girl carrying a bouquet, and they posed for photos outside the permanent home with a modern roof.

The images also showed Sammy's stylishly furnished living room with a glass table and chandelier. The living room also featured brown, expensive seats and a matching carpet.

A young man was spotted presenting Gachagua with an accurate portrait of himself as the DP smiled.

He was accompanied by CS Kipchumba Murkomen.

Kenyans were impressed by Sammy’s home and said it was a sign that Gachagua pays him well.

What Nyeri locals ate at Sagan State Lodge

Gachagua recently fulfilled his promise of 'mchele na nyama' (rice and meat) to Nyeri residents.

Gachagua's gesture came while President Ruto and his team toured the Mt Kenya region, leaving the locals excited.

The meal was served at the Sagana State Lodge, creating a festive atmosphere.
