The doting dad stepped up for his daughter Cream, who worried the seat reserved for her mum would be empty.

Not wanting his daughter Cream to be left out, Lookphonbodee graced the event dressed like a woman, attending the event as Cream's mum.

"When the school organises Mother's Day activities, I don't want my child to have an inferiority complex... I'm not ashamed because I love my child," the father told Bangkok Biz News.

Lookphonbodee, the 48-year-old adoptive father, stressed Cream was his real child and loved her passionately.

Grade 3 pupil pays respects

A delighted Cream was captured paying respects to her loving single father and her classmates who did so with their mothers.

Cream, who looked beautiful in her school uniform, then stood up and tackled her single father with a warm hug.

"This year's Mother's Day, I want to say I love my father. Thank you, father for raising me and making me happy. This life doesn't feel like it lacks anything," the girl said.
