Stephen Mbuvi Ndungwa and Salome Wambui, known as The Stelome's Family, have built themselves into a reputable brand on Facebook since they wedded in November 2019.

The family of four consists the two young parents and their children; daughter Sydel who was born on December 12, 2020 and son Shia who came in on May 5, 2022.

Their Facebook page boasts over 110,000 followers, a following they have amassed in just four years of being married.

Content is about family

During an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Mbuvi explained that they have created a fanbase because they post daily activities of a casual family setup.

"We talk about issues surrounding family, marriage and love life, that is what organically attracted such a huge following," he started.

According to Mbuvi, social media folks love their following because the online space has been saturated by the same content of dancing, pranks, and music.

That essentially means that people have grown tired of such content, so they figured out that netizens needed more of listening and learning.

Turning followers into clients

Part of the journey included creating online podcasts and short educative videos about their experience as young people trudging the path of parenting.

Their brand is yet to attract any advertising deals, but they have turned it into a marketing space for a photo studio they run together in Zimmerman.

"Most of our followers tend to convert to our clients and come to our Stelome photography Studios," he said.

Asked about the dynamics of running a business as a couple, Mbuvi noted that it has increased the bond and teamwork, adding fun to the venture.

No privacy anymore

As much as they enjoy all the attention from social media, the family man disclosed that the lack of privacy has oftentimes gotten to them.

"Sometimes I feel like deactivating all platforms, but I believe my career as a photographer and online space was a calling from God so I have to do it, no matter how I miss my private life," he posited.

Arguably, their bond has been bolstered by the fact that they were born in the same area, grew up together, and went to the same primary school.

Mbuvi also reiterated that most marriages that survive the limelight from social media have one thing in common; authenticity.

"If your marriage or relationship is legit, the limelight or online spaces cannot dictate it's state," he concluded.

Couple with 9 kids still want to add

In another family story, Tian Dongxia and her husband Zhao Wanlong have raised eyebrows for giving birth to a new child every subsequent year since they got married.

The lovers, who are in their 30s, already have nine children, are expecting their 10th, and they have no plans of stopping anytime soon.

They disclosed that they only slowed down on childbirth in 2020 when the pandemic hit and resumed soon as things went back to normal.
