@JudithArnett1:

"My guess is that the guy breeds exotic snakes or works for someone who does. The breeder sold that pair, and the smuggler was on his way to deliver them. No one seems to know what kind of snake they are."

@TheBelch86:

"Y’all had a golden opportunity to quote or reference the ‘Snakes on a Plane’ movie and you wasted it."

@Long_shot77:

"I brought an albino Burmese python from Columbia, South Carolina, in a crystal light container. They even scanned my bag twice. If they had caught me and asked what it was, my line would definitely have been, "These are snakes on a plane!"

Kenya Airways staff arrested by military in Congo

In other news, two Kenya Airways (KQ) staff members were arrested by the Detection Militaire des Activities Anti Patrie (DEMIAP), the military intelligence unit in Kinshasa.

The duo was detained on Friday, April 19, over an alleged discrepancy in custom documentation for valuable cargo scheduled for transport on a KQ flight.

Kenya Airways CEO Alan Kilavuka said the Kenyan embassy officials and a few KQ staff were allowed to visit the staffers in detention, but only for a few minutes.

The airline insisted that the cargo in question was not on the air side for transportation, adding that it was still in the baggage section undergoing clearance.
