He advised against shaving pubic hair, highlighting some of the advantages of public hair and the dangers of shaving.

He said some shaving creams are proteolytic, meaning they dissolve proteins provoking infections.

"Do not encourage shaving pubic hair. Pubic hair should be kept as clean as possible, especially post-coitus. If one has a problem like an infection and must shave the hair, they can shave using a pair of scissors, not razors," he advised.

Adding:

"Do not apply shaving creams, foams or soaps because they will go in and spoil the PH. The creams are made up of many chemicals, and some of them can cause an anaphylactic reaction. Once the PH is lost, there will be an infection and it will be chronic and will bother the person."

Kibe said that after intercourse, it is advisable for one to clean the pubic hair with warm water and dry it with a piece of cotton cloth.

6 reasons why you shouldn't shave pubic hair

Kibe shared six reasons as to why shaving pubic hair is not advisable. Below is what he said.

1. It is for purposes. To prevent dust, dirt, sweat or water that may contaminate the lower abdomen, pubic hair protects.

2. When you shave, you expose the hair pores/follicles to bacteria and fungi.

3. Helps friction - The hair in the pubic region allows for friction during intercourse. A man and a woman glide onto one another.

4. When one shaves, they sometimes tear off the hair follicles and cause small wounds, which cause a breakage of the skin tissue through which bacteria and fungi can go in. So you'll find when some people shave, they encourage infections.

5. Some people react to shaving creams or the abrasion caused by shavers. They end up with skin rashes that can eventually become infected, and bacteria can enter through the rashes.

6. At the bottom of the pubic hair, there are many nerve endings which increase the pleasure of intercourse. They start from the roots of the pubic hair, and the branches of the nerves go straight to the brain, which increases sexual pleasure.
