Obiero is also a suspect in the murder of former Rongo University student Sharon Otieno alongside Obado and another person.

The shameful confrontation saw relatives cut short their eulogies and hastened the burial process.

TUKO.co.ke established the Friday, May 3, burial service turned chaotic after Ayacko arrived at the venue only to be denied access by rowdy youths.

The incident prompted his security personnel to react by confronting the youth and security personnel attached to the MP.

According to Vincent Otuk, an eyewitness, Uriri MP's security personnel fired in the air after they were overpowered in the melee.

"It was frightening and sad to watch the chaos unfold without caring for the bereaved family members. The MP's police officers fired in the air in their attempt to bar the governor's entourage. The incident saw other officers intervene as the confrontation quickly turned bloody," Otuk narrated.

Police officers lobbed teargas canisters to disperse the rowdy youths and conflicting factions, leading to running battles that left the family in confusion.

After the incident, the burial service was halted for at least two hours as security personnel worked tirelessly to restore calm and allow the family to bury the bodies of their loved ones.

Two people sustained gunshot wounds, and several others were injured and are recuperating in hospitals across the county.

TUKO.co.ke established that Obiero's daughter, who survived the accident that claimed her mother's life and was recuperating, sustained fresh injuries and had to be taken back to the hospital.

Even as the families of the bereaved remained shattered by the ugly incident, Ayacko and Nyamita continued pointing accusing fingers at each other.

Addressing the press on Saturday, May 4, Ayacko accused Nyamita of planning the chaos and termed the move barbaric.

"The bodyguard barred me from accessing the function and drew the attention of the police. I had gone to mourn a county employee only to meet a rowdy gang that denied me access to the venue which is a county government institution," Ayacko said.

The security personnel at the entrance told us that he had orders from his boss not to allow him get inside the venue.

Ayacko also accused the police of taking sides, saying they gave the public a misleading report about the incident.

Mark Nyamita accuses Ochillo Ayacko of causing funeral chaos

"The local police officers have become notorious for escalating matters in events attended by politicians. They lobbed teargas canisters at me and other mourners after the MP and his gang left," he claimed.

Nyamita, however, dismissed the accusations and instead said Ayacko was to blame for the violent scenes at the funeral.

"What happened was uncalled for. There is no way you can come to a funeral to show your superiority by interrupting services," he said.

He said police officers confirmed that Ayacko was the instigator of violence in the ugly presentation of who politicians really are.

On March 29, TUKO.co.ke reported that two members of one family died in a grisly accident that happened after their car collided with another one in Migori.

The two women who died happened to be Obiero's mother and wife.
