The Public Service Commission (PSC) has advertised over 600 jobs and asked interested and qualified candidates to submit their applications by Tuesday, June 4.

PSC asked applicants to apply for the jobs through its website.

"Interested and qualified persons are required to make their applications online through the commission website or jobs portal so as to reach the commission website on or before June 4," PSC stated.

Which vacancies did PSC advertise?

Among the vacancies announced by PSC were occupational safety and health officer (105 positions), meteorologist (39 positions), registered nurse II (100 positions) and deputy county commissioner II/undersecretary ( 177 positions).

Others were medical officers (eight vacancies), pharmacists (six positions), assistant commissioner for cooperative development (nine vacancies) and deputy commissioner for cooperative development (five positions).

Also advertised were directors, senior deputy directors and assistant directors across various state agencies.

Safaricom

Giant telecommunications company Safaricom invited applicants for the job openings in April 2024, with a tight application deadline.

The leading telecommunication firm urged interested candidates to update their profiles in the company's carrier portal.

Safaricom earlier launched The Connect Academy, a programme that will provide industrial training for 10,000 fibre optic technicians.

The Connect Academy is a part of the Presidential DigiTalent Programme, a public-private partnership initiative.

Safaricom chief consumer business officer Fawzia Ali-Kimanthi said the telco's target was to grow a world-class broadband connectivity talent pool.

KCB jobs

Meanwhile, Kenya Commercial Bank (KCB) stated in an advertisement posted on its Facebook page on Monday, May 6, that it seeks to attract, develop, and retain the best talent.

The lender advertised positions such as manager, money markets and securities operations, and senior finance manager, tax.

The bank asked qualified candidates to submit their applications through its online recruitment portal on the website.
