Nairobi- United Democratic Alliance (UDA) secretary-general Cleophas Malala has hit Kapseret MP Oscar Sudi with a low blow, a day after the lawmaker jibed him.

On Wednesday, May 29, Malalah read the UDA riot act to a host of ranking members over the alleged unbecoming conduct, singling Sudi among them.

A defiant Sudi would not let it lie down, using the X social network to unleash a tirade against Malalah, whom he questioned over his capacity to substantively steer the ruling party and order members around.

Seeming to suggest Malalah was a below-par secretary general, Sudi told him that he is "an elevated MCA suffering from illusory superiority, thinking he matches Raphael Tuju's calibre."

What did Malalah tell Sudi?

The former Kakamega senator later found an opportunity for a rebuttal, seeming to equally question the lawmaker's ability to communicate in such complicated English jargon.

Malalah's rebuttal appeared to absolve Sudi, many interpreted it as a veiled attack on the vocal lawmaker.

"When I saw that tweet I laughed it off because I knew it was not him who wrote it. I would urge him to communicate with his communications team, which is handling his Twitter account, to seek his approval before posting anything on his account.
"I am certain MP Sudi is a respectable leader, and he is my friend. It is not him who tweeted that tweet I know his handwriting. I would urge all those MCAs who felt belittled to understand that it was not Sudi who tweeted that," said Malalah during an interview on Citizen TV.

Others on Malalah's radar were Githunguri MP Gathoni Wamuchomba, Nyeri governor Mutahi Kahiga, and CSs Kipchumba Murkomen (Roads) and Moses Kuria (Public Service).

The secretary-general faulted the group for disrespecting the party's top brass to which Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua belongs.

A section of members, led by Sudi, were on record unleashing verbal attacks on the deputy president.

In response, Malalah warned the Kapseret MP and his ilk would be subjected to disciplinary action should they fail to mend their ways.
