A video of Chief of Defence Forces (CDF) General Francis Ogolla joining Ulinzi Stars' players in a morning run has emerged online.

How fit was General Ogolla?

Recorded in 2023, the video shows General Ogolla jogging and chanting with Ulinzi Stars players.

In the clip, General Ogolla can be seen leading from the front in Ulinzi Stars' tracksuit as the players make the morning run.

The group ran at least 10 laps along the academy's state-of-the-art track before assembling on the turf for an explosive aerobic exercise.

Reacting to the video, netizens said Ogolla was a light dimmed too soon. They described him as a selfless and down-to-earth leader.

General Ogolla trains with soldiers

In a twist, photos of General Ogolla jogging at Ulinzi Sports Complex, Langata, are warming hearts on social media.

Taken on April 16, 2024, just two days before he died in a helicopter crash, Ogolla was seen training with soldiers in line with the Defence Forces Physical Readiness Test.

He was photographed jogging alongside a group of over 20 soldiers.
