Hassan Mugambi, Communications Advisor at the Ministry of Defence, has shared a heartfelt tribute to the late General Francis Omondi Ogolla, who was, until his demise, the Chief of Defence Forces.

In a solemn state funeral held in Siaya County, Mugambi, the former journalist with Citizen TV, was present to bid his final respects.

Mugambi took to Instagram to share images from the ceremony, capturing the gravity of the moment as General Ogolla was laid to rest.

Reflecting on their shared past, the media personality expressed his fond memories of the connection he had forged with Ogolla during his tenure in the media.

This bond, he noted, had only begun to deepen with his transition to the Ministry of Defence.

"The bond that started shaping up during my time in the newsroom when you were the VCDF was just starting to grow stronger when I joined MoD... from the Tuesday and Friday morning runs to the random inspirational talks whenever we bumped into each other. You will be greatly missed. Rest In Peace, General Ogolla," Mugambi said.
