Anerlisa Muigai has been the talk of the town of late after the identity of her fiancé was revealed.

The Keroche Breweries heiress got engaged to controversial businessman Joe Kariuki in March in a flashy ceremony attended by several politicians.

1. Joe Kariuki's Candy n Candy Records

The businessman is the founder of the Kenyan music label Candy n Candy.

Kariuki's record label had worked with several artistes both local and internationally including Mr Nice, Top C, Madaha and Hussein Machozi.

2. Joe Kariuki, a loving father

The businessman is a father of one. His daughter is based in the UK. In 2016, the now 25-year-old lady, through her Pink Gal Foundation, spearheaded several girl power projects in the country.

By 2016, the businessman's daughter was reported to have built 100 libraries.

3. Joe Kariuki's generosity

The city businessman is known for his generosity and has been involved in several charity works nationwide.

Just recently, Kariuki and his partner Anerlisa were in Mai Mahiu donating foodstuffs to residents affected by floods. Anerlisa shared photos of them together distributing foodstuffs.

4. Joe Kariuki jail stint

The music label executive was arrested in July 2017 in Tanzania and sentenced to seven years in prison.

In a previous interview with Nairobi News, Kariuki revealed that he was jailed for obtaining money with false pretence.

Kariuki was later released in 2019 after close to two years behind bars.

5. Joe Kariuki is happily married

The businessman and his fiancée, the daughter of Nakuru senator are madly in love.

Word has it that the two met early this year at a city social joint and decided to formalise their union a month after meeting.

Last week, Anerlisa went viral after a friend shared a screenshot from a WhatsApp group she had created for fundraising money to bail out her fiancé.

Kariuki, the director, was arrested after he allegedly sold fake fertilisers to Kenyan farmers. He was later released on a KSh 2 million cash bail.

Socialite Vera Sidika took to social media to criticise Anerlisa for fundraising for her partner, terming the move as 'nasty work'.
