Raymond Kiplangat Kemboi has decided to return to school and get a better grade nine years after he sat for his Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE).

Kiplangat scored D+ on 1st KCSE attempt

In an interview with TUKO.co.ke, Kiplangat said that after attending a Study Abroad meeting chaired by Sergeant Alfred and local leaders at the ACK church in 2023, he decided to pursue education to improve his life.

"Last January, I felt inspired to return to school and Iam now enrolled in Form Three at Motobo Secondary School, I'm determined to improve upon the grades I achieved at Kabusienduk Secondary School in 2015," said the student.

Nine years ago, Kiplangat got a D+ in KCSE, and this time wants to get a B+.

Kiplangat is a part-time chef

"With the support of many, I'm grateful and committed to shaping a brighter future for myself. Next year, in 2025, I'll be sitting for my KCSE and Iam ready to excel," he added.

When Kiplangat, who comes from Litein in Bureti constituency, is not at school he works part-time as a chef. He has been working part-time since he left high school.

"That's where I get fees and money to pay rent," he said.

Pokot MCA returns to school

Another story revealed that despite attaining a D+ in the 2023 KCSE exams, Elijah Kaseuseu was a happy man with his sights set on the highest level of education.

According to the MCA, he dropped out of school to party, steal and enjoy alcohol, but he has since been elected twice as an MCA.

The youthful politician now has his eyes set on becoming an MP and, later on, a governor of West Pokot county.
