Little Girl Saves Unconscious Mum's Life By Staying With Her All Night, Seeking Help At Dawn

A brave five-year-old girl's decision to keep her unconscious mother company the entire night saved her life.

Poppy Davies knew something was wrong when she noticed her mother was not responding.

How did Poppy save her mother's life?

Wales Online reports that the quick-thinking girl walked to her school the following morning and sought help.

Details indicate that Poppy was dressed in a princess dress, a crown and wellie boots when she approached her teacher.

"Mummy is on the floor, and I can't wake her up," she reported.

It emerged that Poppy's mother, Leisha, had collapsed and lost consciousness after going into septic shock.

Although the youngster had no idea what to do, she stayed by her mother's side the entire night.

What was Leisha ailing from?

Two of Poppy's teachers rushed to the house and found the 35-year-old mental health worker on the floor.

They put Leisha in the recovery position and called an ambulance, where paramedics fought to save her life.

She was taken to Grange University Hospital, where medical tests showed she was in septic shock and only operating with 15% of one lung working.

When she regained consciousness, she disclosed that the last thing she remembered was her daughter prancing around in her princess dress before everything went bleak.

"I always say to (Poppy) 'You're my hero, you saved mummy's life'," she told the media.

Little boy saves dad's life from house fire

Elsewhere, a three-year-old boy saved his father from imminent death when fire engulfed the family house in St. Mary Estate, Kitale.

Wycliffe Matangaro was sleeping in the bedroom when the house caught fire while his son was watching TV in the sitting room.

The youngster rushed to the bedroom and woke his father up when the screen abruptly went off, and he noticed smoke crowding the house.
