A heartwarming video captured the moving moment when a barefooted girl had an encounter with Trans Nzoia governor George Natembeya, who left her KSh 3k richer.

The governor, who was in his luxurious fuel-guzzler, spotted the young girl by the roadside with avocados and spoke with her briefly before disembarking from the vehicle to speak with her.

In a TikTok video, the governor was heard asking the damsel what she was up to, and he asked her to bring him the avocados that were in her possession.

The county boss first counted the fruits before distributing them to the locals who had milled around him and the young girl.

He then handed the smiley girl KSh 3k and asked where her mother was, to which the girl responded that she was in the house.

"Okay, you can take to her," he said as she dashed off.

Natembeya offers his cleats to barefooted athlete

TUKO.co.ke also reported when Natembeya showcased his humane side during a football match in Trans Nzoia county.

The county boss was the chief guest at the tournament and went to greet the players. However, Natembeya noticed one of the players was barefoot as she did not have cleats.

The politician was touched by her plight and decided to help her. Natembeya then removed his white cleats and was left with socks.

He handed over the boots to the young player as the crowd cheered.

Natembeya rocks school uniform

Similarly, Natembeya also showed that he was a simple man after rocking a high school uniform.

The politician wore St Columba's High School uniform as he unveiled the 2024 Ukombozi Elimu Bursary Programme beneficiaries at the Kitale ASK Showground.

Over 12,000 students benefited from the programme as they lacked enough finances to pay their school fees.
