"I have never hit a police officer, today was my first time.," he says.

Njoroge explains that he assaulted the officer because they couldn't reach an agreement after the officer allegedly demanded a large sum of money.

He adds that the officer's demands triggered him, leading to their altercation. In the video, Njoroge is told to insult himself for attacking a traffic officer.

What happened between the Njoroge and the officer?

According to a police report obtained by TUKO.co.ke, a traffic officer, Jacob Ogendo, arrested a vehicle belonging to Njoroge for violating traffic rules.

Ogendo then entered Njoroge's car and instructed him to drive to Kasarani Police Station. While en route to the police station, Njoroge drew a sword from under his seat, prompting the officer to jump out of the car.

Njoroge chased the officer and began assaulting him until he fell into a trench along Kamiti Road.

Members of the public rescued the officer and took him to Crestview Mother and Child Wellness Centre Kasarani, where he was later referred to Mama Lucy Hospital for further treatment.

Police also apprehended another suspect, Peter Kiragu, as they continued their search for Njoroge and his car.
