A Nairobi man has touched the hearts of netizens after revealing how a minor accident on the highway with another driver made for a heartwarming encounter.

Unlike most motorists who would have lost it and demanded compensation, Maurice Oloo was filled with compassion for the man who hit his car accidentally and damaged its headlights.

Narrating the experience on Facebook, Oloo, a pastor, said while engaging the driver after the accident, he realised he was a disturbed man working for a very strict boss.

Oloo was also shocked to learn that the driver earned a meagre salary of KSh 20,000 despite having a young family struggling to stay afloat.

"I realised he was facing so much and wasn't stable. He has a very young family and earns less than KSh 20,000 as a driver. His boss doesn't take it lightly mistakes of this sort even though the car has valid insurance. He's still paying for his last mistake," Oloo narrated.

The pastor realised the driver was stressed from all his financial troubles, and he decided to clear his rent arrears.

He shared screenshots showing he sent him KSh 4,300 before leaving the accident scene.
