The middle-aged man's body was found under a Kenya Power pole, with smoke bellowing from his body.

Dressed in a green hoodie, the young lad was found still clenching a pair of pliers in his right hand.

A suspected electric cables thief, the unidentified man, is believed to have been struck by electricity to death.

According to witnesses at the scene, the man might have been striving to pluck out copper wires from a transformer when he met his end.

Woman, son electrocuted in Voi

In another tragic news, TUKO.co.ke, a 32-year-old woman and her seven-year-old son were electrocuted to death while hanging out her clothes to dry.

The residents of Sofia village in Voi expressed their grief following the demise of the two after they were found dead.

The incident took place when the deceased’s husband was away and only came back at midday to find their lifeless bodies.

Some of the residents reported that the electrocution might have been from an illegal power connection line.

An elder in the village called upon the people to use the services of professionals when connecting their houses to electricity.

He encouraged them to ensure all the electricians are vetted and have seen their credentials before accepting their services.
