A total of 10 families who were evicted from Mukuru Kwa Ruben have received help from generous Kenyans who paid three months's rent for them.

Through comedian Eric Omondi's Sisi Kwa Sisi initiative, which raised KSh 237,000 for them, the families also got some mattresses and food items from the supermarket.

"Wakibomoa tunajenga! Thank you team Sisi Kwa Sisi. We raised KSh 237,000 in three hours. We picked 10 of the most affected families in Mukuru Kwa Ruben who were homeless, bought two months' house shopping and gave each money to start a small business. God wins; God bless everyone who sent anything," said Omondi.

Mukuru mother loses son in demolitions

In another story, Omondi shared a gut-wrenching video showing a mother devastated by the loss of her four-year-old son in government demolitions.

The woman was seen wailing uncontrollably as she shared her tragic ordeal, expressing deep shock and trauma.

According to the comedian, the child was killed when bulldozers hit the walls of their house during the demolition.
