Lynne the Brand - I refused to sleep with my boss

Despite promises of a job promotion and a car, Lynne stood her ground and chose to leave.

Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse. Not only did she resign, but the company also failed to pay her salary for the last month.

Lynne found herself back at square one, jobless and facing the consequences of her principled decision.

"The boss approached me and told me he wanted to promote me and, if need be, give me a car to facilitate my movements. But he wanted something in return. He gave me two options: to either sleep with him or quit my position at the organisation. So I opted to resign and I was back to square zero after about four months of working at the company. I became jobless and the boss also refused to pay me my salary for the last month at the organisation. I was stuck," she revealed.

How did Lynne escape poverty, life on the streets?

As we previously told you, Lynne was born and raised in Nakuru by a struggling single mother.

She rose from the doldrums of poverty and jostled her way to claim a seat at the table of the mighty.

At that low point in time, not even Lynne herself imagined in her wildest dreams a day would come when she had a nice house she calls hers.

While on the streets, she survived on doing laundry for people until she was able to save enough money to get her a small mud house in Kibera where rent was KSh 2,000.
