Nairobi - The atmosphere of prayer and deliverance enveloped the nation as the 21st National Prayer Breakfast took place at Safari Park.

This significant event brought together prominent figures, including President William Ruto, Deputy Rigathi Gachagua, various Cabinet secretaries, Members of Parliament, and distinguished guests from neighbouring countries, among others.

Themed "Hope," the event commenced with a touch of triviality as South Mugirango MP Sylvanus Osoro, known for his ownership of a gospel band, enthusiastically led the Bunge choir in uplifting songs.

Songs Osoro sang at National Prayer Breakfast

Osoro's diverse selection of songs, sung in different dialects, elicited smiles from all attendees.

Thoughtfully, he selected popular Swahili, Kikuyu, and Luo songs that had the leaders on their feet, dancing and clapping for God.

In a heartwarming response, other attendees joined the choir members in the harmonious dance, exuding energy and offering praise to God.

This unity of spirit was particularly striking, considering Osoro's reputation as a political figure.

The emcee, moved by Osoro's submission to God, reminded the congregation that despite his parliamentary and political activities, his devotion to music and worship remained unwavering.

Ruto promises to honour men's conference

The head of state promised to honour the men's conference after his deputy poked fun at his actions during the US trip.

Gachagua contended that Ruto holding First Lady Rachel Ruto's hand in the US exerted pressure on his wife to mimic the president.

The deputy leader warned women that the president's actions were American in style and do not reflect Kenya's culture.
