Nyandarua: Pain, Grief As Man Kills Own Son, Tortures 2 Daughters In Forest

• Chege Kahuhia from Maruta village is alleged to have killed his 3-year-old son after torturing him along with his sisters
• According to the villagers, Kahuhia is said to be mentally unstable, and this could have led him to kill his son
• The suspect is being held at Njambini police station, awaiting mental assessment before being arraigned for murder charges

Clouds of grief and sorrow engulfed Matura village in Kinangop, Nyandarua county after a father turned against his blood.

What happened to Chege's son?

Chege Kahuhia is alleged to have killed his 3-year-old son and tortured his two daughters, aged two and three years respectively.

According to residents, the suspect confessed to killing his son and painfully torturing his daughters.

Why did Chege torture his children?

The neighbours said the suspect has a mental illness, leading to his heinous acts against the minors.

"He took three children from his home and forcefully took them to a house inside in the nearby forest, and that is when he tortured them and later on killed the boy," a resident said.

The county Woman Representative Faith Gitau visited the bereaved family, calling for the suspect to be arraigned for ending the life of the innocent child.

"The suspect should be taken to court and sentenced for life for committing this offense," Gitau said.

The mother could not hold her pain and tears after her children went through a horrifying experience at the hands of their father.

Where is the suspect?

The suspect is under the custody of police at Njambini Police Station, where he awaits a psychological evaluation to determine his mental status.

After the mental test, the suspect will be arraigned and charged with two accounts of murder and attempted murder.

Kiambu man allegedly kills son after marriage fight

Earlier, police officers in Kiambu arrested a 23-year-old man after he allegedly killed his son, following a bitter exchange with his wife.

Evans Kimande is said to have waited for when his wife left for work before ending the life of the innocent child.

Kimande will be charged with murder after being presented in court.
