A photo of a well-done wooden house has impressed many Kenyans online.

Is this Kenya's best wooden house design?

Brand influencer Karangu Muraya shared the image and showed a man standing at the front door.

The house was sandwiched by a red oxide veranda, contrasting the dark grey blocks forming the foundation.

A white stripe of paint separated the blocks at the base to the wooden walls, painted with a lighter shade of grey.

Huge windows painted white were installed on the house, flooding the interior with sunlight. The door was painted dark grey, like the base of the walls,

Roofing was done using black, modern metal sheets.

Speaking to TUKO.co.ke, a contractor, John Wafula, estimated that the house cost over a million.

"Given the side from the camera angle, it looks like a big house, perhaps three or four bedrooms.”

In other news, a Kenyan woman based abroad converted a shipping container into a stylish home in Machakos county.

A YouTuber showcased the solar powered property with a fire pit, a scenic rooftop terrace accessed by spiral stairs and lush gardens.

The container home also has an outdoor jacuzzi and a welcoming, tastefully furnished interior.

It is outfitted with a flat-screen TV, a full-size sink, conventional cooktop and bar stools that can pivot to maximize space.
