Uganda: Police in central of Kenya's western neighbour are holding a man in whose custody a woman died.

Identified as Joel Ssenyonga, the taxi driver was arrested after his friend tipped off the law enforcers.

How Ugandan taxi driver landed in trouble

According to the police, the man approached the unidentified woman from the roadside on Tuesday evening for a steamy together.

The 38-year-old businesswoman obliged and followed the man to his house.

“When she consented, the two proceeded to the suspect’s home at Mabaale zone later on Tuesday night,” Monitor quoted the man as saying.

In his account told to the police, Ssenyoga said the lady became unconscious during intercourse and died moments later.

His earlier effort to resuscitate her with a piece of cloth had failed.

Unaware of the next course of caution, the taxi driver called his friend to help him dispose of the body, but the latter contacted the police.

They showed up at the house and picked the man up.

His neighbours confided in the police that he had been exchanging women every day.

Ssenyoga was detained at the Kasana Police Station as a suspected murderer.

Kilifi man died in girlfriend's house

Thirty-year-old Bernard Omayo visited Cecilia Chepkirui at her house in Mbarakani, Kilifi, on the evening of Wednesday, May 22.

The two embarked on their sexual escapades when the tragedy hit.

He choked on saliva and died while being rushed to hospital, the police said.

The officers visited the scene and processed it during their probe.

Omayo's body was taken to the Kilifi County Hospital morgue ahead of an autopsy.
