Opposition leader Raila Odinga has called out the Kenya Kwanza government leadership over what he termed as incompetence.

Speaking in Embakasi South on Thursday, May 3, during food donations to flood victims, Raila bashed the current cabinet secretaries, saying they were not fit to hold the positions they are occupying.

He named some CSs whom he claimed had performed dismally and failed Kenyans. He argued Azimio would have done better had Kenyans given them a chance to lead.

"We wouldn't have these problems if Azimio were in the government. There are others like Linturi who are in the government. Another one is Kithure Kindiki, another one is Machogu. Can you compare Machogu with Magoha?" he said.

Raila further blamed President Ruto for allegedly appointing an incompetent cabinet and failing to provide leadership.

"There's a problem because we have a driver who does not understand how to drive the country; this is why Kenya has so many problems.

What is wrong with Ruto's govt?

Speaking during the same event, Raila accused the president of allowing corruption to permeate every sector and department of his government.

He specifically cited the fertiliser scandal that has implicated Agriculture CS Mithika Linturi as part of the scandals that have rocked the Kenya Kwanza administration

On Tuesday, April 30, the opposition chief castigated Ruto's government for disregarding the weather forecast warnings about heavy rains.

Raila emphasised that the flooding situation in the country pointed to a lack of preparedness to address the repercussions of the climate change crisis.

He urged the government to heed lessons from its errors, such as the absence of adequate planning and insufficient infrastructure revealed by the ongoing flood situation.

Raila dares Ruto to demolish houses

Raila also cautioned against demolitions in Mukuru Kwa Njenga during the distribution of relief food to flood victims in Embakasi South.

The ODM leader encouraged the people to seek his intervention should the government proceed with its plans to bring down the houses.
