Content creator Sheryl Gabriella has set the record straight regarding the multi-million shilling mansion she was rumoured to have bought.

Did Sheryl Gabriella buy a house?

On May 7, Gabriella shared a picture of herself in front of a beautiful two-storey house with keys in hand.

She captioned the photo:

"We said yes to the address! My very own home, sweet home."

Her post made many believe she had purchased the house, resulting in several congratulatory messages from fans, friends and colleagues.

However, soon after, a video emerged revealing that the property was, in fact, a rental.

Sherly Gabriella comes clean about her house

Addressing the rumours, Gabriella took to TikTok to clarify that she was merely renting the house.

She confessed to letting people believe she was the new owner, knowing the truth would eventually come to light.

Gabriella admitted to playing along with the misconception but emphasized that she had not purchased the house in question.

"I knew you'd find that video because it's literally everywhere; that's how I found that house. So I knew you guys would find out it rental sooner or later. Mi nilipost picha nikasema, 'thank you God for my new home' and people were like 'congratulations for your new house'. I was like, I'll play along with it," she explained.

She noted she was proud of herself, claiming she was paying KSh 75,000 in rent monthly, which is no small feat.

"I am renting; I've not bought a house. Saa hii sina mamillioni za kununua nyumba(right now I don't have millions to buy a house). But its a big milestone I mean paying KSh 75,000 per month is not a joke," she concluded.

Sheryl Gabriella on being raised by a single mother

Previously, Gabriella opened up about the heartbreaking details of her early childhood and family.

The 22-year-old said she was born in Sotik but relocated to Bomet with her mother and siblings.

They were separated from their other family members after a family disagreement led to them going their separate ways.

She said her mum's struggles and success inspired her as a single mother, too, as she had a reference point to draw strength from.
