Trisha Khalid Discloses Working As Bus Conductor With KSh 15k Salary: "Natolea Watu Mzigo"

Actress Trisha Khalid, who plays one of the lead roles in the hit TV series Becky, has disclosed that her life was not always so glamorous.

What did Trisha Khalid do before acting?

In an interview with YouTuber Vicky Vickinah, the beautiful actress revealed that after high school, she went to college and received cabin crew training.

However, her aspirations to soar the skies never took off as she envisioned.

Instead, she found herself navigating the roads as a tout.

"Nilikuwa conductor wa bus...Nilikuwa conductor wa Modern Coast (a popular bus company)," she said, laughing.

She added that she did the job for about a year, earning KSh 15,000 monthly.

"Hiyo ni kazi ilikuwa inaniingizia KSh 15,000 per month," she said.

Why did Trisha Khalid quit being a tout?

She disclosed that the job was physically taxing for her due to constant travels and demanding working hours.

She added that she did not have time for herself or her family because she was always on the road.

"That was the hardest job nishawahi fanya...nilikonda...it was so hard you can imagine asubuhi natravel na gari naja Nairobi nikifika Nairobi narudi na hiyo basi yenye inaenda Mombasa. And then when I get to Mombasa I sleep. Nikiamka usiku narudi nayo. I didn't even have time for my family, and I didn't even have time for myself. It was a very hard job.

"Ilikuwa passenger akifika kwa destination yake nilikuwa nafaa kushuka niingie kwa boot nimtolee mizigo," she narrated.

Reflecting on her past, the actress said she was very happy and in love with her current profession—a profession she says she got into courtesy of media personality Lulu Hassan.

Despite being a celebrated actress, she is a jack of all trades, running several businesses, including a salon and boutique.

Rashid Abdalla Gives Trisha Khalid 'fare'

Recently, Citizen TV anchor and film producer Rashid Abdalla mesmerised social media users by gifting actress Trisha Khalid KSh 1,000.

In a hearty video shared via Instagram, Abdalla said Trisha lacked fare after she visited his home with other Becky cast.

The cast paid the couple a surprise visit on April 24, 2024, to celebrate Abdalla's wife, Lulu Hassan, as she turned 40.
